Angela Yi-ping Hsu is an Associate Professor in the Institute of Learning Sciences and Technologies at National Tsing Hua University, Taiwan. Her research focuses on English as a Foreign Language (EFL) writing, English as a Medium of Instruction (EMI), and language teacher education. She specializes in examining how language, pedagogy, and policy intersect in multilingual higher education contexts.

Dr. Hsu’s broader research encompasses bilingual and EMI pedagogy, Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL), and the integration of AI technologies in English education. In addition to her academic roles, she has served as Director of the Language Center, Director of the Writing Center, Director of International Student Affairs, and Associate Director of the Center for Teacher Education, positions that reflect her commitment to connecting research, administration, and pedagogical practice.

Since joining the Taiwan–UK Higher Education Consortium, Dr. Hsu has collaborated with UK scholars on research exploring faculty experiences and pedagogical practices in English-medium instruction (EMI), with particular attention to teaching and learning in Taiwan’s higher education. Her recent work highlights the importance of reflective, inclusive, and context-sensitive approaches to EMI in global higher education.
